After taking an initial medical history, I will ask you to lie down, usually on your back, fully clothed on the treatment couch. I will then gently take up contact with various parts of your body, most commonly involving the head, chest, abdomen, sacrum and feet.
Generally, clients report feeling much more relaxed, clearer, and grounded after a treatment. Many mention sleeping better and more able to face life's daily challenges with greater equanimity, focus and calmness.
A regular treatment lasts for 1 hour. The initial consultation/introductory session lasts about 75 minutes.
It tends to depend on the person (everyone is unique). Some people come for a couple of treatments and it resolves their issue. Others love how it makes them feel and keep coming every now and then for a reset. Some clients also require more long-term support, especially if they're recovering from a serious injury or illness. Most people feel a shift in their well-being almost immediately.
Cranio-Sacral Therapy is never a replacement for your normal healthcare provider. It can be an extremely supportive and powerful aid in your healing and recovery alongside regular medical intervention. Due to its gentle yet profound effects, it can most certainly help to alleviate many of the symptoms of chronic disease by promoting the overall health of your system.
Because of its gentle, calming, and non-invasive nature, Cranio-Sacral Therapy can be used for anyone: babies, expectant mothers, the elderly, children and adults alike. It can even be used to treat animals.
The only real difference is the lack of physical contact. Some clients really prefer and need the hands-on touch, but distant healing can still be just as profound. Of course, being online there is no limit to where the client is based; it can be facilitated for someone on the other side of the world. If you think of how we can hear someone's voice, their breath, and pick up on how they feel, over the phone, then it's easy to imagine how distant healing can be effective. As the facilitator, I simply tune into the client - on a physical, mental, emotional, and energetic level, and allow myself to be led intuitively to their needs and be guided by what they say and how they feel. A treatment often involves me using my hands in ways similar to how I take up holds in a regular CST session, but it can also consist of my hands being moved by the unseen forces and energy currents in and around the client's biomagnetic field.
